Welcome to the IOTA Chapter Lambda Kappa Mu Sorority, Inc. website.
We are a group of professional and business women affiliated with the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) who are interested in servicing and giving back to our community.
The IOTA Chapter located in Baltimore Maryland, was founded in 1937.
We are active in several local community organizations such as the NCNW, and volunteer with several local non-profits that focuses on the homeless and underserved communities.
We have adopted several schools located in low income areas and provide school supplies on a quarterly basis and sponsor an annual essay writing contest for students in grades 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 with a first-place cash prize of $100.
Our sorority celebrates its Founder's Day with an annual luncheon where our friends, family and other chapters celebrate with us. At that event we honor several people/organizations who have demonstrated a commitment to the welfare of the Baltimore Community.
We host an annual crab feast to celebrate the end of the sorority year.
We are looking for likeminded women who are interested in joining us in giving back to our community.
So take a look and let us know if you are interested.
